Aoife Loy talks to Fergal O’Sullivan, the newly appointed CEO of Boardmatch Ireland, about how charities can ensure they are practising good governance. Boardmatch Ireland supports the not-for-profit sector by strengthening boards and management committees. The charity itself has recently appointed a new CEO, Fergal O’Sullivan. Fergal got involved in the not-for-profit sector when he joined the board of the Make-A-Wish Foundation through Boardmatch Ireland. He joined Boardmatch Ireland in June 2014. Of the challenges facing charities today, fundraising, he says, is the most obvious.
